Humans Can transmit Covid-19 Virus to Wild Animals – Study Shows
Human to animal COVID- 19 transmission had mostly so far focused on pets and zoos rather than wildlife. It’s High time now to focus on wild animals equally.
A Very important research by the Scientist coming in. Scientists have found that there’s considerable risk that humans can transmit SARS-CoV-2 virus to Wild Animals.
The study revealed that SARS-CoV-2 can infect and spread among wild mammals, it could potentially cause the spread of this virus in some populations, which would further endanger already threatened species.
A Lead author from the University of Antwerp in Belgium stated that humans should avoid turning this pandemic into a multi-species problem.
Researchers at University College London have warned in a separate study this week that dozens of animals, including domesticated species like pigs, horses and sheep, may be vulnerable to corona virus outbreaks and it could threaten endangered species or harm the livelihood of farmers.
Proceeding with their research – the research team regularly searched their study comparing it with different combinations of the keywords like SARS-CoV-2, infection experiment, animal model, mammal, susceptibility, ACE2, cell line, corona virus, wildlife.
Particularly ProMED was checked by the research team , which is a community-driven platform that scans infectious disease news and reports at every instance of animals naturally infected by SARS-CoV-2.
During the field activities its very rare to see people coming in close contact with live wild animals, transmission of SARS-CoV-2 by humans could readily occur.
Additionally, if SARS-CoV-2 has transmitted among some mammalian species or networks, this would lead to the creation of new animal reservoirs, which could actually track how many animals got infected with humans.
Along with the researchers, we also urge people to take sanitary precautions when in direct or indirect contact with wild or feral mammal species to prevent human-to-wildlife COVID-19 transmission.
Government and scientists are facing enough difficulty to control the SARS-CoV-2 transmission in human populations. So what if wild animals are added to this ? What it will be like if it spreads among wild mammals?
We cannot ask animals to wear face masks and keep physical distance, They could also get sick and form a reservoir from which they can then again infect humans,.
A request to all people out there, please take proper precautions, special urge to the farmers – were mask and sanitize regularly to avoid a mass transmission.
Use mask wisely, If you are using a disposable mask regularly make sure you throw them in medical waste (out from the reach of animals).
Wear Mask Sanitize Your Hands, Together with safety and precaution measures we can fight this virus and save us and animal kind as well.
We can wear mask and take precautions but animals cannot so avoid getting in contact with them.
Adopt, Do Not Shop, Save them with this Pandemic
